The Ridgeview Mustangs Junior Football League is a non-profit organization created for the development and participation of football players and cheerleaders in Pre-K through 8th grades who live in the Ridgeview school district. Development of participants is the primary goal of this organization.

We participate in the HOI JFL conference which is made up of the following Teams:
Participation Levels
Participants are grouped by grade as follows:
Games
Games are held on Saturdays. Home field for the Ridgeview Mustangs is the
Ridgeview School. Due to rain make-ups, scheduling or other conflicts games could be played during the week. Games, unless otherwise noted, are played at the following times on Saturdays:
HOI JFL runs a 7 week season. Due to the number of teams in a given year, some teams may receive bye weeks in their season schedule.
Cost
Registration forms received AFTER 4/17 will require an additional $50 LATE FEE
Refund Policy
Requests for refunds must be made in writing before the first day of practice to receive a refund minus the non-refundable liability insurance expense. Refunds after the 1st day of practice will only be granted on a case-by-case basis for injuries or other medical reasons. Any refunds that may be made after the start of the 1st game will be pro-rated based on the length of the season.

Registrations Forms and Requirements to Participate
All of the following forms are required to be completed/signed and payment received in full PRIOR to the player participating in the first practice.

Football Practice
The HOI JFL has a Minimum Number of Practices requirement before a player can participate in their first game. All players must have 3 non-contact (helmet only) and 10 contact practices completed prior to playing in a game. The Jamboree is considered a single practice.
Cheerleader Practice
The cheerleading coach will provide the practice start date. Practice times may vary and will be determined by the coach. The Cheerleading coach will communicate the practice schedule to cheerleaders and parents.
Jamboree
The Jamboree is an organized scrimmage with other teams in the league hosted by the Heyworth. Each period allows teams to run offense and defense, It's beneficial to give the players practice in game situations.
Football Equipment
All equipment issued is the responsibility of the player. Any equipment that is lost, damaged or not returned after the season will be charged to the player and parent. All equipment/uniforms are to be cleaned and returned to the Ridgeview Mustangs organization after the last game of the season. The date of the return will be communicated later in the season.
There will be an equipment fitting day (usually held the 1st week of practice) where players will receive their equipment.
The organization supplies the following:
Players will be responsible for supplying their own:
Players may purchase their own chin straps and/or mouth guards, but it is not required.
Game Cancellations
In the event of severe weather or deteriorated field conditions, coaches will attempt to contact parents (email or phone) and when possible a cancellation message will be posted on the Facebook page.
Volunteers
Volunteers are essential to making this organization successful. Every family is required to volunteer for one shift per participant. In order to allow us to schedule games the following help is needed for all home games:
*The Ridgeview Mustangs JFL offers a $50 volunteer credit for a player or cheerleader applicable to the following year’s registration for each shift worked.
Parent Meeting
There will be a parent meeting at the practice field for parents of all participants at the beginning of the season. Watch the website for more details. Schedules, important dates and other information will be shared. Board members will also answer any questions you may have.
Team/Individual Pictures
Individual participant and team pictures will be taken during the season. Dates and times will be communicated when determined.

- Medical Release form
- Child & Parent Code of Conduct form
- Birth Certificate (if one is not on file already)
- Current Sports Physical (dated Nov 1 or after of the season year)

- Shoulder pads
- Practice pants Game pants /belt
- Knee, thigh, hip & tail pads
Players will be responsible for supplying their own:
- Athletic Supporter (Cup)
- Practice jersey
- Cleats
- Girdle (girdle pads are held by the belt otherwise)
Players may purchase their own chin straps and/or mouth guards, but it is not required.

- Gate Workers (2 to 3 entrances, 2 volunteers at each entrance)
- Chain Gang (3 people per game)
- Announcer (in booth)
- Clock Operator (in booth)
- Medical assistant (on site – must be a nurse, doctor, or EMT)
